MELBOURNE 22nd January. The lawn tennis championships were continued in fine weather. Hone, tho South Australian champidn, by brilliant play^ beat Clemenger, "6-3, 6-3, 6-1. Hone's inclusion in the Davis Cup team is regarded ■as certain. J. O. Anderson, who made his reappearance, easily beat Newton (Tasmania). In the doubles G. L. Patterson, and O'Hara Wood defeated E. Marsh and J. Clemenger, 6-3, 7-9, 6-3. 6-3, and Schlesmger and Raihey beat Newton and Richmond, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2.
