UPPER HUTT CLUB.
On Saturday, at Trentham, the Upper Hutt Club fired its third shoot in the third series at 500 and 6CO yards. The wind was very tricky at both ranges, but at 500 yards F. Wilkie made 47, and at 600 yards W. Dellar and W. Cottle 42, Cottle being a first-year shot. Kext Saturday the club will do its class firing. The following were Saturday's scores: —
B Class. W. Cottle, 38, 42,' 2—82; T. Sing, 31, 29, 17—77; L. Ridgway, 32, 29, 4-^65; Pres. Rogers, 38, 18, 6—62; I. Whiteman, 30, 23, 10—63.
Next Saturday the Karori Rifle Club will fire the annual musketry course at Trentham. Members qualifying with a score of 45 earn the free grant of 100 rounds, while those qualifying as marksmen with a score of 85 will earn 200 rounds. Thirty rounds will be fired, the practises including groupingj application, snap, and rapid.
