THE REJECTED TERMS
(REUTEK'S TELEGRAM.) (Received 21st January, 2 p.m.) LONDON, 20th January. The railway managers state that the terms which were agreed upon between the tradesmen, the Trades Union Congress, and the managers yesterday, but which were rejected by the Locomotive Men's Society, were as follow :— "Provided that the strike notices are withdrawn the companies give an assurance that an immediate meeting with the two unions concerned will be held with a view of considering and alleviating any hardships affecting' individuals or groups of individuals arising out of the findings, which, after discussion, both sides are satisfied should be so alleviated ; any agreement reached to be applied immediately; the companies also to give an assurance that there will be no dismissals arising out of the application of the decisions."
