DRUNKENNESS INCREASES.

CHRISTIANIA, 19th January. Prefects and police authorities throughout the country, with a few exceptions, report that the results of prohibition of spirits are disappointing.

Drunkenness has increased, and respect for the law decreased. The repeal of prohibition in respect to strong Wine in 1923 has had no evil results.
