WOUNDS.

SYDNEY, 20th January. A shark attacked a boy named Charles Brown while he was swimming in the Parramatta river at Camella, inflicting a. frightful wound on the left thigh, and tearing away a large portion of the flesh.

His friend, Cox, went to the rescue, frightened away the Shark, and dragged Brown ashore, but the boy, died before tho doctor arrived.
