LONDON, 20th January. The locomotive men, following a lengthy conference, announced a- resolution containing the following statement:
"We feel that it would be a gross betrayal of our members and the workers generally to withdraw the strike notices. We cannot fail to recognise that the obstmancy of the general managers and their unbending attitude in demanding the decision of the -National Awards Hoard should stand, constitutes an Arbitration Court award, which prohibits the right to collective bargaining." The resolution concludes by placing the responsibility on the managers for failure to effect . a settlement.
