Evidence as to the trying hours of business experienced in the taxi-driver's occupation, was given in the Magistrate's Court at Auckland last week. One of the witnesses stated, that on the day of the events in dispute he appeared with his car ou the stand at the exit to the railway station platform at 2 a.m in order to be assured of a fare on the arnyal of the Main Trunk express from Wellington at 6.30 a.m. (reports the "New Zealand Herald"). He said it was usual to spend the intervening 4A hours asleep in the car.
