ANNUAL PICNIC
The Electric Light Department held their annual picnic on Friday last at Maidstone Park. There was a large attendance, and the fine weather helped to make the picnic a huge success. Sports were held, the following beinf the winners of tha adult events: ' '
Single Ladies' Race: Miss R. Butt, 1; Miss I. Butt, 2. Married Ladies' Race: Mrs. .J. Bray, 1 ; Mrs. T. Cox, 2; Mrs. P. Collier, 3. Nail Driving (ladies): 'IT 8 \TM'£ ab> l> Mrs- Bromley, 2.Thead the Needle Race: Mfa. H...E. Wilson, 1; Mrs. D. Hogan, 2. Men's 100 yds Race: H. E. Wilson, 1; D. M'Lauchlan, 2. 220 Yards: D. Hogan, 1; E. Woolcott, 2; 40 to 60 years: Mr. Dindsor, 1 • E. Holmes, 2. 50 and over: J. Eagles 1; E. M'Lean, 2. Committee Men's Race: S. Webber, 1; H. O'Sullivan, 2. The tug-of-war was won by the linesmen.
