If you' want to pack—for travelling— a number: of: small, valuable pieces of china use biscuit tins with well-fittinff lids, plenty !of straw, and old newspapers;1; i •:■ '' ','•. . . ' ■
Wrap each article'separately, arrange plates one on top of each other, and cups and saucers in the same way. Fill all corners'.with straw,' and put a layer on top before replacing the lid, which must be tied on'securely.
When the,biscuit tins are ready they should be put into small wooden packing cases, packed, with straw, and the top of the cases: nailed down.
