The Forestry Committee jput forward tho ■ following, resolution, |wfiich was endorsed by the conference:— l"'£hat in view of the promise given on jßeyeral occasions by the Prhno Minister: that the State Forest 'Service would (discontinue;, competing with' nurserymen aslsoon asi-ttiey could supply sufficient forest trees at reasonable prices, and seeing that the trade now has available large stocks of first-class trees which it is "prepared to sell at the Government prices, we respectfully request the State Forest Service, to discontinue the sale lef'/trees to 'the public in lots'of less jthan 1000."
