MAJORITY OF MINERS
FAVOUR ENDING WAGE AGREEMENT.
(UNITED TRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPIMGHT.) (REUTHt'S TELBCIUM.) , (Received 18th January, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 17th January. It is officially announced that' the miners' ballot resulted in 510,000 votes for and 114,000 against giving three months' notice to terminate the national wages agreement. The miners' executive will meet the mine-owners this afternoon, and it is expected that they will endeavour to negotiate a revision of the agreement. In the event of -a, failure of negotiations, a further and a two-thirds majority of voters are necessary before a strike « possible. i '
