TESTING FOR POLAR FLIGHT.

NEW YORK, 16th January. A telegram from- Lakehurst, Now Jersey, says that the navy airship Shcnando'ah, which was moored to steel masts for n 10-day lest, broke away in ■<x 55 milti-an-hour gale. The' crew of 30' was aboard. Radio, communicaton was established with the' dirigible late to-night, and it was then believed to be over New Brunswick, Canada. It is said to bo able to ride out of the storm aud to hi holding its own. The Shenandoah was being prepared for the proposed air flight to the iSorth Pole in ' the spring.
