SHORTT'S THEATRE.
Alice Lake, in: a Maxwell Karger production now screening at Shortt's Theatre under the intriguing title of "Kisses," gives one of the best im-1 personations of her screen career. It is a mgdern American comedy-drama dealing with the consequences which arise as a result of the fascination of Betty Estabrook's kisses. The star is supported by. Harry Myers aa Bill Bailey, a lovable: character who provides much food for smiles and louder laughter. Mr. Myers will be best remembered as the /comedian who achieved fame through his acting as the Yankee in "A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court." . The story opens in a railway train, where the two leadingcharacters meet for the first time, to be whirled through several reels of a fascinating story. The supports are particularly good, and. include subjects of topical interest.' The musical programme has been specially selected.
