Martinique spurted down the straight. Lake Uru (W. Tippetts) was about three lengths ahead of (Vindictive at the eiidof six furlongs in lmin 18 2-ssec.

Piquant (A. Reed), on the outside, appeared to be going better than Glimpse (C. Reed), at the end of half a mile, done in :51sec. -

Militaire (11. Clout) took lmin 21sec to coyer six furlongs. KUmar took 41 seconds to run down from the three furlongs post. Ares (W.
