FAIRER WEATHER

Southerly winds have decreased generally, and the weather has improved tin's morning in all parts of the Dominion. As forecasted yesterday ,the barometer has fallen m tlie South, but has risen in _ the North. The present indications point to unsettled conditions passing in Otago, but fair to cloudy weather is likely to prevail elsewhere, with moderate ■to strong south-easterly to northerly winds generally. Last night was very cold locally, and the indications arc for similar conditions this evening.
