LONDON, 15th January, live German crews totalling 100 men •truck at Cardiff in response to a message lrom the London strike committee salting on all German seamen in British ports to strike unless the owners were prepared to give the British seamen's rate ot wages in British currency The :iew sent from-Germany to man the steamer Cardiff, sold to a German company, refused to travel from London to Newport, where the ship is berthed, until the owner's complied with the strike committee s order.
