ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
(El TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNBDIN, 9th July.. Hector David Campbell, aged 14 years, was accidentally drowned in the Catiins River on Saturday. The body was recovered yesterday.' Sarah O'Donovan ■Williamson, an old age pensioner, died suddenly on Saturday. The cause of death was heart failure, due to influenza.

After sleeping, only partially clothed, in a half-open railway waiting shed, Peter Anderson, 74 years of age, a pensioner, who is believed to be single, was found unconscious, and died shortly afterwards. Deceased's papers showed he had been treated in the Ashburton Hospital this month, under the name of Thomas Patten, for the results of excessive drinking. Tha Coroner, Mr. E. D. Mosley, returned a verdict of death from exposure, assisted by a lowered vitality consequent ori alcohol and cancer on the lip. ,
