THE NGAIO CLUB.
The best tallies to date in this club's annual handicap tourney are:—^E. E. Hicks (6-0), J. A. Glasgow (6-1), F. J. Brooker (5-1), W; J. Hicks (4-4), and A. B. Topp (2-1): As the handicap is by. sealed points the above scores do not necessarily indicate the probable' prize--win-ners. Mr. J. A. Glasgow's chances look rosy,- as ho has so far shown the greatest, improvement on last year's form. Mr. J. Lindsay, the club's champion, has so far. been unable to spare time to make a start with his fixtures. The scores made by the. first six players on .the ladder amongst themselves count for the first half of the club's senior; championship tourney. ' Similarly, the scores made by the. remaining players .amongst' themselves count as the'first half-of. the junior championship contest. .Members are hopeful of giving a good account of themselves iri nest' Saturday's senior and junior 1 league matches against ■ the Wellington Club. •
