APPEAL AGAINST A CONVICTION
The case of Stuart, Brown Sl'DonaW, who_ was convicted at the last criminal sessions on a. charge of making a false declaration in connection with a iiro at his shop at Kilbirnie, was considered by the Court of Appeal to-day, when M'Donald appeared against his conviction and also against the- sentence of imprisonment imposed by the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout). On the Bench were Mr. Justice Sim, Mr. Justice HO6--kinpt, and Mr. Justice Stringer. Mr. A. Dunn appeared on behalf of the appellant, and the Solicitor-General (Mr. W. C. M'Gregor, K.C.) represented the Crown.
