NEW YORK, 9th July. A navy balloon which left Indianapolis on Tuesday in a national race was found floating in Lake Erie. The basket was torn from the balloon, and Lieutenants Roth and Null are missing. Hope of their discovery has been abandoned. Their log describes briefly a struggle ■with storms for many hours before the ropes broke.
