Tlie death is reported from Peilding of Mr. Richard E. Pearce. The deceased, who landed at Wellington with his parents from England when nine years of age, would have been ninety years old in November next. After arriving in the Dominion he lived with his parents at the Hutt, and about 1873 went to the Satidon district, where he resided for a considerable time. About ; fourteen years ago he took up his residence in Feilding. Deceased leaves a ; widow and five sons and two daughters. ■■ The sons are Messrs. W. G. Pearce | (Colyton), A. E. Pearce (Waituna), L. F. } Peareo (Feilding), and W. E. and'lT. A. j Pearce (Sandouj. The daughters are Mrs! W. Thompson (Rongotea) - and Miss Pearce (Feilding).
Tlie many friends of Mr. JoWWUliam 8011, who recently retired from the PubHe Services, will reject to Jeam of his death, -which occurred at his • residence. Muritni, this morning. The deceased, who was 59 years 01 age, was born in Invercanrill, and it was there that he entered tlie Public Service; A good many years ago he was transferred to Wellington, where, until his retirement a few months ago, ho held the position of accountant in the head office of the Department of Agriculture. He was actively connected with church work, having been churchwarden in the parishes of Brooklyn and Eastbourne. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge
