ORDINARY TRAIN SERVICE RESUMED
The obstruction, on the railway line ai Ongarue was cleared at 5 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and the ordinary train-time-tables will be resumed as from today. Tiie passengers who left Wellingtotn on Saturday by the 12.45 p.m. express were transferred to another train awaiting them on tho northern side of the landslip, and reached Auckland shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday. The express left Auckland at the usual hour last night, and arrived at Wellington about 2 o'clock this, afternoon. Tin Wellington-Auckland express departed a» usual to-day.
A special train, with the Chief jEfc. gineer. Railway Department.. Mr. ]?. W. M'Lean, and party left Tauinarunui lasi night, and arrived at Wellington this morning at 9 o'clock.
Tho bodies of four of the person killed - in the disaster have been brought awaj "'■' by trains leaving for the South vester.-. . day and to-day. The remains of Mr. Ji" Connor were sent on to Pahiatu:.; the body of J. J. Brady to Woodville; Thomas J. Billings to Now Plymouth; and H. T. Ward to Wellington, to he' sent on to Christchurch.
