ADVOCACY OF MEMBERSHIP.
■ LONDON, 7th July. •I he Daily Chronicle's" Berlin correspondent says Dr. Cuno informed the political leaders he had received, through a diplomatic channel, a suggestion that Germany should express her willingness to enter the League of Nations. The correspondent adds: "I learn that the initiative .came from the British Government."
Representatives from the coalition parties from which the Cabinet is formed have expressed agreement provided: (1) That Germany's entry should not constitute an admission of the right of tho League of Nations to exercise control over the Rhineland; (2) that Germany should not be required to admit war guilt; (3)' that Germany should he repre-, sented on tho League Council as a member on equal footing with other Powers.
