ANGLO-FRENCH DISCUSSION

ANSWERING THE QUESTIONNAIRE

AMBASSADOR RELATES HIS

INSTRUCTIONS.

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.)

(AUSTRALIAN - NBW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATTON.)

(Received 9th July,, 11 a.m.)

LONDON, Bth July

■ The Comte de Sainte Aulaire (French Ambassador) submitted to Lord Curzon, during Friday's interview, his written instructions from President Poincare, covering the period of the conversations. Lord Curzon took a copy, which will he considered by Cabinet. This is not exactly a complete fulfilment of Lord Curzon's request that, the French Government should reply in writing to the British questionnaire., but the action is apparently accepted as meeting the case.

•LONDON, 7th July. Lord Curzon had conferences with the French, Belgian,- and Italian Ambassadors, and President Poiucare had a conference with Lord Crewe.

The "Daily Telegraph" says there is still no sign of a written document, Viut there is reason to believe that ono has made the journey from Paris, to London within tho last two or three days.
