HURRIED DECISION UNNECESSARY.

The cable message published yesterday regarding New Zealand naval requirements was brought under the notice of the Prime Minister 'by a Post reporter. The message stated that the Admiralty was awaiting the decision of the New Zealand Government regarding its naval requirements, and that New Zealand could have whatever class and number of ships the Government decided) would meet the Dominion's needs. Mr. Massey said there was nothing in this message,beyond what he had already told the people. Regarding the suggestion that tho Admiralty was waiting for a New Zealand decision, he said that there was no need to hurry the decision. No ship could be released before 31sfc March next.
