9057 NOW ON THE WATEB.

The total number of New Zealand troops now on the water returning to New Zealand from the United Kingdom and Egypt is 9057. They are accompanied by 816 wives and 193 children.

Wireless messages have been received notifying the folowing alterations in the dates of arrival of the transports named: Giesson (Returning Draft No. 269): Originally due at. Wellington on 23rd August, now due on the 26th.. The alteration is due to the transport putting into Hobart. r , Mamari (Returning Draft No. 274) : Now due at Auckland at 6 p.m. on 19th August instead of the 18th.

Somerset (Bieturning Draft No. 273): Now dive at Wellington, _rid<l_y 20th August, instead of the 19th.

Eighty-three New Zealanders late Imperial Forces, being' repatriated via Australia, were to have left. Newcastle yesterday by the Essex for Wellington. They comprise 55 details ex Bremen, and 28 details ex Ormonde.

The Defence Department has also been: advised that the Fredericks Ruhe, which left ther United Kingdom on 9th July, has*7l New Zealand details on board, and the Prince Ludwig, which left the United Kingdom on 10th July, six New Zealand details.
