APOLOGY TO HIS WIFE "THESE SILLY CHARGES." (Received August 15, 2 p.m.) PARIS, 14th August. Andre Landru, who is charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of twelve women, was confronted with his wife in Court. He burst into tears, and apologised , because " this ridiculous affair has revealed unfaithfulness to you, whom I love." He asked '■ her not to attach importance to " these silly charges," and bidding her goodbye, said, "Dear, forgive your innocent 'hjfcsiand his little sins."
