KINGSTON (ONTARIO), 13th Aug. General Sir Archibald MacDonnell, defending General Currie against criticisms for alleged undue losses in the capture of Passchendaele, stated that the Canadian losses s were the lowest, while their percentage of gains was the highest. The Canadians captured Passchendaele after the Australians, New Zealanders, and British had failed.' - ''
