Consideration has been given by the Wellington District Repatriation Board to the housing problem, and at a, meeting of the board on Tuesday .it was decided; to invite the various local bodies interested, to meet in conference to discuss the problem. The officials of the City Council, Harbour Board, Labour Department, and Returned Soldiers' Association, have been communicated with, and the suggestion of a conference has been readily agreed to by a number of those concerned. No date has yet been fixed. The conference will be asked to consider various schemes which tend in the direction of relieving the situation.

Seldom at this time of the year is Wellington favoured with such glorious weather conditions, as prevailed last night, and toi those who .happened to be in a position overlooking the harbour,, the effect of the moon on the waters of tho harbour during the early part of the evening was particularly striking.
