THE DANDIES.

That, the Dandies are now firmly established favourites with the Wellington public Was further proved by the large audience, which greeted the change of programme presented at the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall last evening. Taken individually or collectively, the Dandies haye proved themselves* capable of placing clean, clever, and original items on the boards. , Especially in concerted niimbnrs do the Dandies excel, as was particularly noticeable, in "I Rather Like It", and "Nights of Gladness." Mr. Rerm Miller's rich bass voice was peculiarly suited for such songs as "Shipmates of Mine" and "The Bedouin Love Song." With three popular artists like Miss Lenore Graham and Messrs. A. Pace and G. '-.Livingston responsible for the lighter side of the entertainment, the audience was' kept in good humour. Harry Cooper's violin solo "Cavatina" (Raff) was most enjoyable, as also was Mr. N. Monkman'a 'cello number "The Swan." Mr. Cooper and Mir. Monkman were heard in conjunction with Miss K. Gelhor in an instrumental trio. A great reception was accorded Miss M. Knight for a contralto sblo with 'cello dbbligato. Miss K. Gelhor's song at the piano, was most refreshing. "Watchman, What of the Night" was rendered in fine style by Mr. K. Chapman; and Mr.'R. Millar, Mr. A. Pace, and' Miss D. Cooper scored an immediate hii, in "Why Will You Keep Laughing alj Ma" The bright entertainment was concluded by a burlesque entitled "The Harmonious Cafe."
