PEOPLE'S PICTURE PALACE.
The People's Theatre is still busy with the new series of Metros of which it has secured the exclusive control for Wellington. The latest', production is a drama of French life entitled "The Parisian Tigress," in which . winsome Viola Dana plays the leading part. The story deals with the many aspects of life in "wicked Paris," from the highest to the lowest, the scenes dealing specially strongly with life in the underworld and the criminal haunts of the city. It covers many sensational but perfectly natural incidents, in the course of its development, during which . faces many vicissitudes, but, of course, wins out ultimately in- a satisfactory'denouement. Added to a.capital programme- is the additional attraction of a striking overture, with the very latest jazz effects.
