A MATTER FOR PADEREWSKI TO
EXPLAIN.
(Received June 5, 1 p.m.) LONDON, 24th May (delayed). Tlie Daily Chronicle correspondent at Paris states that Poles, in defiance of the Peace Congress, have expelled the Ukrainians from East Galicia, and are about to junction with the Rumanians at Czernowitz. There are great rejoicings in Warsaw, but Paderewski will find it difficult to explain to the Big Four why he has not kept his promise.
