Eight men who were found in 'an Auckland hotel on a day in which all hotels were directed to close on account ,of the arrival of the hospital ship Maheno were each fined £1 and costs. A charge against the 'licensee of keeping his hotel open was dismissed, but. the barman was fined £1 and costs.
