EXPLOSIONS IN AMERICAN CITIES

BOLSHEVIK INFLUENCES AT •WORK,

(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COP-RIGHT.) (AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLE ASSOCIATION.) NEW -YORK, 2nd June. A series of bomb explosions is reported from Washington, Boston, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Pittsburg, Paterson (New York), and Newtonville (Massachusetts).' The outrages are attributed to Bolshevik influences. Most of the attempts wero made at the residences of Government and municipal officials. One bomb was thrown at the front of Mr. Palmer's (United States AttorneyGeneral) home. The explosion blew in the front of the house. Mr. Palmer, with his wife and family, were at home when the explosion occurred, and all escaped injury. Some of the bystanders were killed. The police found tho limbs of an unidentified man in the street in front of the Palmer residence.
