The arrival of the British relief force at Murmansk coincides with active British operations in the Gulf of Finland, aiming at a combined attack on Petrograd, and threatening the whole of the Bolshevik position west of the railway to Pskoff. The , Bolshevik Government continues to make strenuous preparation for the defence of Petrograd. The British troops at Archangel have established communication with Admiral Kolchak's right wing.
