PARAMOUNT THEATRE.

The varied selection of pictures, as well as splendid music'by a special orchestra, found much favour with the holiday crowds at the Paramount Theatre. Dealing with life -in a slum portion of New York, "The Cruise of the Make Believes" was the chief attraction, more so in view of the fact that it introduced a new screen star, in the person of Lila. Lee. Although only sixteen years of age, this young actress. proves by her initial appearance that she has remarkable ability. The story tells of a slum girl's voyages on the ship of make believe with a young millionaire who ha. fallen in love with her. "He's In Again," featuring Billy West, provoked much laughter. The programme will be screened until Friday next.
