T\TOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at i.™ a Special Meeting of tho Wellington City Council held on the 29th day of MAY, 1919, the following Resolution was passed: — The Council of tho City of Wellington hereby makes and ordains (by Special Order) the following Bylaw, in pursuance of tho provisions of "Tho Tramways Act, 1908," and its amendments, and under, or ill pursuance and exercise of, all and every other, powers and . authorities (if any) enabling tho Council in that behalf, and for tho purposo of regulating the carrying on of the undertaking of tho Kolburno and Karori Tramway, and ordering the traffic thereof, and of all extensions of such undertaking made or to be made, of which undertaking the Council aro "the promoters" within the meaning of tho said Act. The short title of this Bylaw is "The Kclburno and Karori Tramway Bylaw, No. 1, 1919." Tho object and purport of tho said Bylaw are as follows: — To regulate the carrying on of the undertaking of the Tramway owned by the Kclburno and Karori Tramway Company, Limited, and ordering tho traffic thorcof, and of all extensions of such undertakings to bo mado. AND NOTICE is hereby further given that the said "Resolution will bo submitted [or confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Wellington City Council to be held on THURSDAY,. 26th day of JUNE, 1919, at tho Council Chamber, Town Hall, Cuba-street, Wellington, at 7.30 o'clock. A full copy of this Bylaw is deposited at the Office of tho Town Clork of the said Council for public inspection, and j may bo inspected thero by all persons ' during ordinary office hours. JNO. R. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Wellington City Council, held on the 29th day of MAY, 1919, tho following Resolution was passed: — The Wellington City Council in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, and its amendments, and all other powers cabling it in that behalf, doth hereby resolvoby way of Special Order to accept a. surrender of Memorandum of Lease 3798 of Lots 18 and 19, Block 11., on Deposited Plan 540, subject to Grants of Easements registered numbers 33847 A, 34090, .35707, and '-SBl6, and to existing tenancies,' and to grant new leases to the surrenderor of. the said lands, namely, Laery and Company, Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 1882, and carrying on business in the City of Wellington as Auctioneers, for tho unexpired portion of the term of the surrendered lease of the said Lots 18 and 19,. Block IL, on Deposited Plan 540, subject as aforesaid to'Grnnts of Easements, registered numbers 33847 A, 34090, 35707, and 35816, and to existing tenancies and upon the same terms and conditions as are fixed by the surrendered leases with the following valuations: — 1. Thero shall be no building covenant in the new leases. 2. Tho term under the provisions for renewal, in.tho new leases shall be 21 years in lieu of 14 years. 3. The provisions to be inserted in the new leases as to the valuation of the rentals for the first renewal period of 21 years shall be varied us tho City Solicitor thinks necessary.' Tho costs of the preparation of and advertising of this Special Order and tho preparation and execution of the surrender and new leaso shall be ■ borno by the said Laery and Company, Limited. AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the said Resolution will bo submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Wellington City Council to be held on THURSDAY, 26th day of JUNE, 1919, at the Council Chamber, Town Hall, Cuba-street, Wellington, at 7.30 o'clock. .
