POLITICAL ACTION
A REPORT DENIED.
With reference to a recently published telegram that Mr. Vernon Reed, M.P., and Mr. C. J. Parr, M.P., had been in Napier selecting a candidate for Parliament, ths Acting Prime Minister to-day received the following telegram from Mr. Parr, from Auckland:—"Mr. Vernon Reed is at his home at Kawakawa, North Auckland. On our joint kbehalf, please accept emphatic denial of press report that we were engaged last week choosing a candidate for. Napier and that we are going round the country on returning from Town-Planning Conference. I callecl at Napier on private business with Mi". R.eed, who was visiting his sister. I hear Mr. Vigor Brown's friends have political nerves, and see an enemy in overy bush. You may show this to Cabinet and the press."
