Replying to a question in the Union Assembly, the Acting-Premier stated that the Government was bringing in legislation to give effect to the principles of the mandate for German South-west Africa, but not this session. It was not intended to throw open tho territory before peace, but meanwhile it was being surveyed with a view to settlement.
