KING'S THEATRE.
Another of Rex Beach's great out of door tales, entitled "Laughing Bill Hyde," is being shown at The King's Theatre. There was a full houso on Saturday ■ evening. Mr. Beach's object in this picture is to prove that crime is largely, prompted by enoironment. After a hazardous escape from prison, " Laughing Bill Hyde" finds himself aboard ship bound ior the goldfields. He falls in with a young surgeon, who recognises the man in Hyde, and together they set forth as "partners" for the diggings. How the' sagacious Hyde secures a fortune for both of them, and incidentally a bride for himself forms the story of a great picture. The popular Wellington baritone, Mr. Will Goudie, was well received in his two vocal items,, and-he was "accorded an encore. The special music by The King's GrandOrchestra . are additional features on this programme.
