A largo audience assembled at the Grand Opera House ..last night, when the Waterside Workers' Band gave another of its enjoyable recitals. The programme was an excellent one, instrumentally and vocally, the musical standard being high and artistic. The interpretation of the overture,. Another popular item was the duet ." Excelsior," played by Bandsmen M'Robis and Jackson, whose performance was especially good. Tho band's final number was the brilliant contest march, "Palmer House," Which was played magnificently! Among the assisting artists was Lucien Cesaroiii, whose opening number was "Till Death," followed by "Allah," an Oriental song, and his encores -included "My Life's Ideal" and "A Little Love, a Little Kiss."
