LODGE MEETING

The quarterly meeting of the 'Poneke Lodge, U.A.0.D.,' was presided over by Brother Clarke, A.D. The lodge will pay an official visit to the Star of New Zealand Lodge on 10th June, the occasion being a presentation by P.D.P. Collins to P.D.P. Lowry, who has been on active service. Ten brothers were declared on the . sick benefit fund, and the bard's report | was received. Brother Savage spoke ofthe memorial service to the late Dr. Ross, held ,on Sunday last, and which was attended by representatives of all lodges. - Great credit was due, ho said, to Lodge Ulster .No. 52, for inaugurating the ceremqny. ■ Brother Patey, who has been transferred to Napior, was accorded a vote of thanks for his' services to the lodge as V.A. The following officials were elected for the ensuing term;—A.D., Brother Skinner; V.A., Brother Williamson; secretary, Brother E. King; treasurer, Brother Davis; J.G., Brother Parker; A.D.B.'s, Brothers G. Shaw and Kirk- : wpod; V.A.8., Brother Gilbert; S.D., O.G.,.Brother W. Norris; M.S., Brother Brownliill. Tho lodge-then went into harmony, and an enjoyable evening was spent. -
