If it occurs it will affect the large provincial centres in addition to London. A decision is -probable within a week. The authorities are taking every precaution to meet the situation. ■ (Received May 31, 10 a.m.) LONDON, 30& May. Cabinet has sanctioned an order by the Police Commissioners warning the police against a strike/. Strikers will be instantly^ dismissed and never permitted to rejoin the forces or receive pensions. The plea of i intimidation will not be accepted as an excuse. Officers and men have, been instructed1 to defend themselves if noccssary by all legitimate means in the execution of their duty.
