The fact is now confirmed that Nasrulla Khan, who was sentenced to lifelong imprisonment in connection with the assassination of the late Amir, Habibulla Khan, is alive. He is lodged, but not imprisoned in the Kabul citadel. The Amir (Amariulla Khan) occassionally visits him and discusses matters of policy. Nasrulla is fed from the Amir's table, but his family is not allowed to visit him. The money made by Nasrulla in the gun-running trade hns been confiscated. . . , The Amir lives in constant dread of assassination, and barely leaves the precincts of tho palace. Only trusted persons are admitted to his quarters. No durbar has been held since the one at which he announced his intention to invade India.
