WELLINGTON HARMONIC SOCIETY.
*°* ■ The box plan for the concert of The Wellington Harmonic Society (to be held in the Concert Chamber, Town Hall, tonight) discloses, we are informed, very heavy booking, and those who have not taken the opportunity of reserving their seats will need to be early in attendance. The society will have the assistance of Mr. Harold Whittle as accompanist for two of its numbers, the other six being unaccompanied. In addition U> the part pongs an instrumental quartette (puinu, Miss Ulnr'yft Watkiiis; first violin, Mr. Norman Watson; second violin, Mr. George Harper; 'cello, Mr. Wynne Watkins) will provide two items, 5-nd a- male' qu&Ke'-te from the ranks of the society will sing (unaccompanied) two gems for male voices—Dudley Bilk's "In Absence" and Sullivan's "Tho Long Day Closes," with which latter item this party beat all comers at the competitions in February last. The concert will commence at 8 o'clock sharp.
