A NOVEL SUGGESTION
A novel suggestion made by Miss M'Lean, head mistress of the Wellington Girls' College, that a gramaphono be procured to assist in teaching French, more particularly as regards pronunciation, is to be given effect to. The College Governors to-day decided that the idea was a good one, and authorised the purchase of a machine. It was mention ed that gramaphones were already being used in some branches of educational work. / '
