CABINET CONSIDERATION.

Cabinet, met yesterday afternoon, and considered the request of the - Locomotive Society for tho appointment, of a conciliator and the Longton appeal case. A decision was come to, and a public statement will be made when the Railway Society has been advised of the result of Cabinet's consideration. The Ministers to whom the matter has been entrusted, the Acting-Prime Minister and the Minister of Railways, were both engaged with Cabinet business for the greater part of this morning, and the letter has not therefore been sent to the railwaymen. The Minister for Railways stated to a reporter that no public announcement would be made to-day.
