HEAVY FIGHTING IN MEXICO CITY UNITED STATES' ACTION EXPEDITIONARY FORCE READY. By Telegraph.— Press Associablon.-'-Copyrigut. (Received February 13, 11 a.m.) WASHINGTON, 12th February. A United States expeditionary force of three thousand men is ready to depart for Mexico. A force of marines is also in readiness. REBELS HOLD THE ARSENAL. STREET FIGHTING IS CONTINUOUS. • MEXICO CITY, 12th February. The rebels are still holding the arsenal, and heavy artillery has been moved into position in order to shell the President's palace. There have been numerous disaffections among President Madero's supporters. Street fighting is continuous, and foreigners have taken refuge in the American Embassy. The Maderoists attacked the arsenal, but were repulsed after a Brisk engagement, during which bullets were flying everywhere. Mr. Lloyd Osbourne, the author, and stepson of Robert Louis Stevenson, was shot in the thigh while watching the fight. BATTLE REOPENED. A FD3RCE ENGAGEMENT. (Received February 13, 11.10 a.m.)' MEXICO CITY, 12th February. The Federal troops reopened the battle, attacking the arsenal at daylight. A fierce engagement followed. Hundreds were killed in the streets. . The rebels turned the Young Men's Christian Association building into a fortress, where, under cover, they fusilladed the palace with machine guns. They set numbers of buildings on fire. The conflagration is still raging. The British Legation 1 was under fire. The Federals placed a battery of artillery near there in order to afford protection.
