The vessel is Hxcd to suit at fi p.m. to-morrow for Melbourne, via southern ports and Hobart. AORANGI, EN ROUTE FROM SAN FRANCISCO. According to a cable message received by the Union Company, the R.M.S. Aorangi, which left San Francisco last Wednesday for Wellington, has only ten passengers for New Zealand. Five of these are travelling second saloon, and the remainder third-class. Tlipre are 40 passengers booked through to Sydney— ls first class, 15 second, and 1 0 third. The vessel lidb about 1000 toils of general cargo for New Zealand ports. She is due nt Papeete next Monday, at Rarotonga the following Wednesday, and at Wellington on the 27th inst. KAKAMEA ARRIVES HOME. Advice has been received by the local agents of the fShaw-Savlll tine stating that the Karamea, which left Wellington for London on the 24th December, prrived at her destination last Monday. The Union Company's steamer . Maunganui, which arrived from Sydney to-day, brought transhipments ex the following steamers:— Pcra, Star of India. Asnabruck, Kiel, Marmora, Orvieto, Yawata Maru, Tasmanic, Clan Ross, Mooltan, Morea, Somerset, and Bombala. The Tyser steomer Star of India, afc present discharging London cargo at Sydney, will come on to New Zealand shortly to load for the Homeward journey. The Flora, due here on Sunday from southern ports, will sail on Monday for New Plymouth, Westport, and Greymouth. According to a cable received the new Tyser steamer Hawkes Bay. en route from London to Australian and New Zealand ports, left Capetown on the 31st January for Melbourne. She is due at Auckland about the 6th March, and at Wellington a few days later. Following are the ruling rates /or intercolonial cargoes from Newcastle :— Auckland] 9s; Gisborne, 16s 6d; Napier, 10s nd; Wellington, 9s 6d; Wanganui, 13s; Lyttelton. Ids; Timaru, 10s 6d; Dunedlnv 10s 6d; and Bluff, JOj 6d. After undergoing overhaul, the Wailiora sailed from Port Chalmers on Mondaj eveninz for Calcutta, via Neweastln and Java. At the first named port she loads for New Zealand.
