A six-roomed house situated in Knights-road, Lower 1 Hutt, • was,- totally destroyed by fire on Monday night. At 11.15 the Hutt Fire B'^gade was called out, but althougLthe men were quickly on the scene, the (ire had, a good hold. The brigade's energies were confined to saving the next-door, premises. The house was owned by ih. C* C: Ross, of Masterton, and occupied- by, Mr. Arthur Brooker. The furniture, which was totally destroyed, was iftsured in the South British office for £100.
